Free app to practice Spanish irregular verbs

Most apps try to teach all kinds of Spanish verbs — regular, irregular, reflexive — everything at the same time. But irregular verbs are usually the most difficult ones. They don’t follow the rules and appear all the time in conversations.

That’s why this app is 100% focused on irregular verbs — and not just any verbs. I selected the 138 most common irregular verbs in Spanish (including ser, estar, ir, tener, venir, poder, and many more) so that you can practice the ones that really matter.

The app uses fast, focused quizzes to help you retain conjugations through repetitions and active recall. Each round gives you 10 verbs to conjugate in a specific tense. You’ll get instant feedback, see the correct answer, and track your improvement over time.

I built this app after taking a couple of free online Computer Science courses from Harvard University. For the final project of one of them, I wanted to create something connected to my teaching.

In my classes I often say “It’s irregular!” when my students make mistakes with these verbs. So I decided to turn that idea into a tool. What started as a course project became a resource that now I share with learners around the world.
