Would you like to watch Spanish TV online free? Let me teach you how to do it!
If you have been following my blog, probably you have already read where to read the news in Spanish and where to listen to news in Spanish for free.
So why not combine image and sound and watch the news in Spanish, too?
And best of all, you don’t even need to sign up for any websites!
All you have to do is to use a standardized search formula on YouTube to watch TV from whatever country you are interested in.
Are you ready? Let’s go!
Watch Spanish TV online free
More and more people around the world are switching to streaming platforms to consume their favorite movies and TV series.
However, when it comes to watching the news, they go back to traditional TV channels.
The difference is that since nowadays fewer people own a TV (especially the youngest), they end up watching the official live stream on YouTube.
So this is how thousands of native Spanish speakers watch TV every day!
Spanish TV news channels on YouTube
The standardized search formula consists of three simple steps!
First, go to YouTube and search tv country en vivo. Where it says country, you should write the one you are interested in. For example: tv argentina en vivo.
Then, click the search button.
Finally, go to filters and choose en vivo (‘live’ in English) and that’s it! The first results will be from the country you are looking for.
Mainly national public broadcasters are the ones that transmit live on YouTube and they are usually TV news channels.
But that doesn’t mean they only broadcast TV news shows!
You would need to research more about the programming of that channel in particular.
The most popular TV channel in Argentina on YouTube is TN (Todo Noticias). At the time of writing this article, over 30.000 people are following the official live stream.
Something really interesting is the chance to watch channels from other provinces or states far from the main cities!
For example, you can watch RTVE, the state-owned Spanish public corporation, but also other random channels from Spain.
This is particularly useful to challenge yourself and try to understand accents from everywhere, not only the standard ones.
Go explore and have fun with them.
But if you’d rather stick to regular TV channels, I have an easy solution for you!
I haven’t paid for cable TV in years. To be honest, I don’t have much free time, and when I do, I prefer other activities instead of watching TV.
Still, I like to stay updated with the news—usually while eating, so I don’t feel alone.
To make this easier, I made a YouTube playlist with news from Argentina’s six biggest TV channels!
And this is the playlist that I personally use every day.
You can check it out here—just imagine me eating pizza between lessons and complaining about the latest headlines 😆
And that’s all for today!
